They are Talented; They are Gifted…

Learns who are gifted and talented are all over, But sometimes we fail to identify them, therefore wasting them. Their gifted and talented however discovers from the evaluation of cognitive and psychomotor activities they are given by their teacher. In the cognitive domain, the giftedness of the learners are established by their excellent performance on academic tasks and also the degree of leadership abilities.Teachers see them as bright based on their high level of intelligentce. On the othervg hand learners who are talented display exceptional performance in psychomotor domain, for example, they may perform exceptionally well in areas such as music, fine arts, dancing, singing, athletics, sports, games and craft printed tasks.
Gifted and talented learners are characterised by productive thinning abilities which put them in good state among peers. They are capable of persuading them on particular direction. They possess social and political attributes, liked by peer and accompanied with their charismatic nature are easily listened to by mates. This sometimes may make soon school administrators and teachers be in conflict with them especially when there is tension between learners and school.
Given academic tasks in a learning environment, these learners complete their academic tasks assignment a faster than their maters and require a teachers with good planning to design adequate activities within the cognitive ability of these learners to sustain their interest within the span that the test of the activity may last, otherwise these learners may be bored and turn to disruptive behaviour for attention. Teachers who lack the skill to manage such learners in a classroom situation may find them bother and may not relate real with them. Some teachers may also feel uncomfortable working with the gifted and talented who with their exceptional ability might challenge them with tasks they can not handle.
Lack of challenging tasks on learning environment often frustrates gifted and talented learners and may react to the situation in many ways such as withdrawal, aggression, truancy and may develop dislike for school eventually drop out off school.
Specific education programs for the gifted and talented may be lacking in Africa the education specialistd in various settings have one time or another designed programs that independently cater for the most academically able. Mostly there’s is never official policy on the education of the gifted and talented. Unfortunately, most teachers, general education are not provided with the necessary understanding, skills and resources to deal appropriately with the gifted.

Through The Mirror.

Through The Mirror

I saw her watching me
I blinked, she did
I raised my hand to touch her
My hands went through
Into thy space
I sought her again
Right there looking at me
‘Why then?’ I asked
She never replied

In that mirror
The three of us now
Blinking when we blink
Smiling when we smiled
Frowning when we frowned
I reached for her again
My hand waved through
I smiled, they did
Then I touched the mirror
There she was
Touching me
Holding me where not
I tried to feel her
But I felt me
I turned, she too turned
Confusion overcame me
I touched the mirror again
I touched her
She beckoned, she hushed
Aghast, persistent beckon
I lifted my leg forward
I advanced towards her
She moved back, I pursued
Right before the mirror
That vacuum, felt her grip
Tight and tense
I pulled myself stable
Then stare, long one
Amidst nothing.
I looked up
For the longest time

Happiness; A Prayer Away


Everyone has a desire to be happy. Having happiness that is perpetual, never ending and reliable, remains the only essence of a relationship. Happiness comes from friends and not pleasure. It feels sweet to be loved, to be appreciated and to know the joy that comes with loving. But sometimes you feel the thirst for being loved yet this love can not be satisfied by human friendship which, more often has conditions and limits. This, always trash our happiness.
Deep inside your heart, you thirst for someone to be your friend in all seasons for no reason pegged, to be part of your life moment by moment, day by day till nothing do you part. That friend to whom you feel joined by some invisible web, that friend who will never give a reason for deserting you, that friend who only has unconditional love. While all these desires might be overrated, we then cease to have any hope in human being and avert that hope somewhere else. A place with definite assurance that human friend cannot match. It is with God. 
As with any friend whom you would like to relate to, laugh with, touch, speak to like you would your best friend and thank for being part of your life, so it is with God. There is nothing simpler. We can talk to Him any time, any day, through prayer. However making that prayer is sometimes difficult, so that you might want to ask yourself, ‘what do I say to him?’ Just like your friend, whenever it’s not easy to talk, there could be tension, a problem, that’s creating that barrier between you. Nothing comes easy as talking to the one you love, the one you adore. Even without words you can always be the most comfortable person in your friends’ presence. 
Therefore, why would prayer be that difficult? It is because we do not know how to love, how to let our heart free, to be occupied by our friend, God. To find true friendship with others, we have to let go of our little ego and give it to them, to find their happiness first and that, be our happiness. 
Apparently, when it’s difficult with friends, it will never be easy with God. But God gives us a great gift whenever we are willing to empty our hearts. So that He can fill it with His SPIRIT. The spirit then lives in us and little by little teaches us to love, to give ourselves over and merry in his friendship. This only happens when we are ready to be happy, to let go and let God.
